We help airlines with pricing, revenue management and network planning

Each area can start with a review of two to three weeks. After that we set up the changes with your team, hand them over, or run them for you.

Pricing

Fare structure, fare brands, channels

We set up your fare structure to use as many price points as your flights can sell.

That means price points with conditions for each kind of traveller, more price points through dual inventory, fare brands that share booking classes, extras such as bags and seats, dynamic pricing where your systems allow it, and NDC alongside the travel agents who book through a GDS.

  • A ladder of price points with their conditions
  • Fare brands and extras, with prices
  • A plan for dynamic pricing and NDC
  • A one-way analysis for your routes

Revenue management

Forecasts, inventory control, overbooking

We check how your system forecasts demand and decides which prices stay open, by flight and by journey.

We set overbooking from your own no-show data, measure every change against flights that did not change, and can run revenue management for you on your own systems.

  • Forecast accuracy and inventory control by route
  • Overbooking limits from your no-show data
  • Results measured against control flights
  • A managed service if you want one

Network planning

Routes, schedule, profit, fleet

We work with your planners on which routes to fly, when, and with which aircraft.

We use the same data as the revenue work, so the plan and the prices fit together, and flown results feed the next plan.

  • Route and frequency options with forecasts
  • Timings and connections
  • Profit and loss by route
  • A seasonal capacity plan

Network planning in detail

Every engagement has four steps, and you can stop after any of them

  1. Step 12 to 3 weeks

    Review

We sign a confidentiality agreement, then read 24 months of your bookings, tickets and extras sales, your filed fares and system settings, and the fares your rivals show on the same routes. You get a written review: each gap in revenue, its size and how sure we are of it.

  2. Step 28 to 12 weeks

    Set up

We build the new fares, brands or inventory controls with your team and switch them on for a small set of routes, leaving comparable flights untouched so the result can be measured. Your finance team signs off the method before the first change. If the numbers do not move, you will see that too.

  3. Step 34 weeks

    Hand over

Your team runs the new pricing and the routine behind it. We train your people, write the procedures and stay on call for review.

  4. Step 4Every month

    Run it for you

If you would rather not build the team, we run pricing and revenue management for you on your own systems. We file fares, set the inventory controls and report the results every month. Your team keeps full access and can take over at any time.

A review needs your data, a sponsor in your team and a signed agreement

  • Data24 months of bookings, tickets and extras sales, your filed fares and your system settings.
  • PeopleA sponsor in your commercial team, and the analysts who will run the work after us.
  • ConfidentialityWe sign a confidentiality agreement before you share any data.
  • ResultsWe quote no uplift percentage before we have seen your data, and every result we report has a control group behind it.
